Mario Jump is an addictive game of skill starring everyone's favorite Italian plumber.
In Mario Jump, a series of different platforms ascend up the screen and you must jump from one to the other as they move up, so you don't get squashed by the spikes at the top. Likewise, you should make sure you always land on a platform, or you'll fall off the bottom of the screen.
Gameplay in Mario Jump is great fun. You control Mario simply by titling your Android device left and right. There are several different types of platform, and each behaves in a different way: such as springs, falling platforms, conveyor belts, and more. This helps to keep you on your toes, and makes for some hair-raising gameplay at times.
In terms of its graphics and overall presentation, Mario Jump is pretty poor. It's a 100% unofficial Mario release, so the sprites feel very cut and pasted. Animation is very basic, and the sound effects are nothing compared to what you'd get in a real Mario game.
That said, Mario Jump makes for an amusing diversion and will certainly kill some time on a long journey.
